WELCOME
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) initiated a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study (What is a PD&E Study?) in January 2010 that will consider transportation improvement options for SR 80 (Southern Boulevard) located in Palm Beach County. The limits of the study extend from CR 880 to Forest Hill Boulevard (Project Limits).
The FDOT is conducting this PD&E Study to investigate options to enhance safety and capacity to meet existing and future (2035) traffic demands and upgrade the corridor to meet Strategic Intermodal System (SIS) (What is the SIS?) and access management standards. FDOT will also conduct extensive studies to evaluate the impacts of the proposed improvements on the surrounding environment. The results of these studies will be compiled in the project’s environmental documents.
Within this website, you will learn the facts about the study, check on the schedule and find out how to get involved. Please visit the Public Involvement page to find study newsletters, the project fact sheet, and information on public meetings and to submit your comments or questions.
